About BTIA
The Belize Tourism Industry Association is Belize’s leading national private sector tourism association and prides itself on being the national driving force in tourism. BTIA represents a unified voice, and advocates for issues that benefit its members. BTIA also influences tourism policy, legislation and marketing for the sustainable development of the industry and improved quality of the visitor experience.BTIA currently has over 600 members drawn from Belize’s six districts and ten established tourism destinations. Its membership is drawn from the tourism private sector and includes hotels, guest houses, travel agencies, tour operators, tour guides, restaurants, gift shops, taxi associations, artisans, dive boat operators, dive shops and other corporate business such as banks, media and others.
Located in the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, Half Moon Caye Natural Monument is Belize’s first protected area.
